At Mrs. Cabrera’s Neighborhood Preschool & In-Home Childcare, our mission is to provide a nurturing, safe, and high-quality care environment where children can thrive in all areas of development: social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language.

We believe in the power of play as the foundation for learning, offering children opportunities to explore, create, and discover in meaningful and engaging ways. Through authentic connections and intentional teaching, we foster school readiness and a love for learning.

Our lesson plans are ever changing year after year for they are individualized, intentional, and developmentally appropriate. Lesson plans are based on the child's needs and interests of each child and class; while maintaining a student-led, anti-bias, inclusive, and research based curriculum. We proudly incorporate a Spanish dual immersion program alongside and are a STEAM-focused school, to expose children to a diverse and dynamic world.

With a low student-to-teacher ratio of 1:6, our highly qualified and recognized educators provide individualized attention to support every child’s unique growth journey. At Mrs. Cabrera’s Neighborhood, we are dedicated to nurturing confident, curious, and capable lifelong learners.

Mrs. Cabrera’s Neighborhood is a QualityStart OC participating site. QualityStart OC is a community partnership, led by the Orange County Department of Education, focused on raising the quality of early learning programs across the county.  QualityStart OC focuses on four key areas Raising Community Awareness, Supporting Parents, Supporting Educators and Care Providers, and Operating the QualityStart OC QRIS (Quality Rating & Improvement System). Funded through the grants from the California Department of Education and First 5 CA, QualityStart OC QRIS sets standards for early learning program quality, rates programs on a five-star scale, and provides resources to support continuous quality improvement (such as coaching, training, and technical assistance).
